AccuWeather.com (www.accuweather.com) announced that it has launched a Web site which will serve as a new planning tool for directors and engineers of public works, and others involved in public safety. The site will provide customizable weather alarms, summary forecasts, historical comparisons, comprehensive graphs and detailed forecasts for 43,000 locations nationwide. Users will be able to customize key features on the site to better serve their individual preferences for specific weather information that affects public safety, staffing, materials, productivity, snow removal, and other severe weather preparation.

Designed to simplify the workload of an operational manager, the site allows user to customize alarms which will warn of unusual or extreme weather.
