Law enforcement, fire, corrections and other public safety departments in Anne Arundel County, Md., soon will be using an integrated communications and records management system. The County recently signed a contract, valued at $6.6 million, to acquire the system.
Tiburon Inc., a subsidiary of Annapolis, Md.-based CompuDyne Corp., will install the equipment over a multimonth schedule.

The system Tiburon is installing in Anne Arundel County includes an investigative analysis suite that will enable law enforcement officers to collect, manage, analyze and share intelligence, so that investigations reach successful conclusions. The suite includes:

The Anne Arundel County government serves a population of more than 518,000 people spread over 416 square miles along the Chesapeake Bay, surrounding the city of Annapolis and Baltimore Washington International Airport.
