Another 15 percent answered “maybe” when asked: “Can government agencies really make an impact by purchasing green products?” Only 3 percent answered “not at all” to the question.
About one in five poll respondents are suspicious of global warming claims. These respondents checked off the box labeled “I don’t believe in global warming.”
A small number of highly pessimistic respondents (6 percent) clicked on the box labeled “We’re all doomed.”
Other polls and surveys show increased concern for the environment. According to a recent Office Depot survey, many business professionals and consumers already are taking steps to be more environmentally friendly, including recycling ink and toner and using energy-saving light bulbs. Additionally, Office Depot found that 79 percent of respondents consider themselves at least moderately greenmeaning they try to reduce, reuse and recycle when they are able to.
