NEWS LAX to Purchase Additional AFVs The Board of Airport Commissioners has approved the purchase of an additional 21 compressed natural gas (CNG) pickup trucks and two liquefied natural gas heavy-duty (LNG) trucks with 4,000-gallon water tanks as part of its Vehicle Replacement and Alternative Fuels Vehicles programs. Award to Honor Top Public Works Grounds The Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) is looking to honor the nation’s top public works grounds management programs with its Green Star Awards. The Green Star Awards program brings national recognition to grounds maintained with a high degree of excellence. The program complements other national landscape award programs that recognize outstanding landscape design and construction by saluting the grounds superintendent and staff responsible for maintaining a well-manicured landscape year round.
