Company President Pleads Guilty to Bid Rigging on Defense Contracts
The president and owner of Medford, N.Y.-based Jacobi Industries Inc. pleaded guilty Sept. 20 to conspiring to rig bids on U.S. Department of Defense contracts for military tie-down equipment and cargo securing systems.

Census Bureau Taps Draftfcb to Boost Participation in 2010 Census
The U.S. Census Bureau has awarded its 2010 census communications contract to Draftfcb of New York. As part of the estimated $200 million contract, the marketing communications firm is charged with encouraging maximum participation in the 2010 census.

Incentive Package Helps Secure Continental Expansion in Cleveland
As the result of a partnership between the city of Cleveland, the state of Ohio and Continental Airlines, Continental recently unveiled plans to increase the number of flights, nonstop destinations and jobs at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
