1) Colorado county aims for zero waste
Next to nothing. That's what employees at government buildings in Boulder, Colo., are throwing in the trash under a new zero-waste pilot program.
2)Report calls on Army to rebuild acquisition work force
An obsolete system, not enough people and too little training. Those are the key findings in a report released last week on Army contracting in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait.
3) Clinton partners with mayors, Wal-Mart to make green products more affordable
In an effort to make green products more affordable and accessible to city governments and consumers, former President Bill Clinton announced that the Clinton Climate Initiative is extending its green purchasing consortium discounts to all 1,100 cities in the United States Conference of Mayors.
